Alexander Graham Bell invented telephone, and Sir William Thomson introduced the first telephone to the British association for the advancement of science at the same year, and the Bell telephone company was established in the follwing year, and the British W H Preece who was a chief engineer of the post office of United Kingdom introduced the telephone to the United Kingdom in the meantime.

In 1878, telephone service was officially operated in the United Kingdom, and the most earliest operating electricity of United Kingdom was the Edison telephone company. In 1879, the Bell telephone company was also operated in the United Kingdom so as to serve the upper echelon of United Kingdom society.

In 1921, the first generation of telephone booth was officially named K1, which was with the structure of wooden frame and glass. At the beginning of the 20th century, the telephone booth appeared in Britain and was located in the government hall square of Belfast of Northern Ireland. Afterwards, the design of K2 and K3 were denied by people.

Later on, the post office of United Kingdom has decided to design the telephone booth by itself, and it combined with mail barrel and stamp vending machine, and the telephone booth named K4 was produced. Unfortunately, K4 was a failure. In 1934, the post office of United Kingdom started to design K5 telephone booth, but it was not easy to take apart parts. Therefore, it was another failure again.

In order to commemorate that George was seated on the throne for 25 years in 1935, Scott designed K6 telephone booth by himself, and this K6 telephone both can be seen in London. Afterwards, it has become the most beautiful scenery of London.

In 1959, Nahuel Kant designed K7, but it was denied by people in the first place. In 1968, Bruce Martin designed K8 telephone booth, which was developed and became the same as we have nowadays.
